PACK 112
2015 Cub Scout Camping Opportunities
Pack 112 encourages all scouts to attend camp at least once per year – after all, what would Scouting be without “outing”? To help make that possible, the Pack will reimburse each family up to $25 once per scouting year (June to May) to offset the cost of a camp. Reimbursement will be made after the scout attends camp; see your den leader or the Pack camping coordinator for more information or to request reimbursement.

GENERAL CAMPING INFORMATION
Regardless of the camp or event, the following guidelines should be kept in mind:
-
Health forms needed for every participant! At every event, ALL scouts, adults and siblings must all have a completed health form (http://bit.ly/Oy60hE), including a copy of a health insurance card.
-
Be Prepared! Campers should be prepared for sun, rain, warm, cold, bugs … anything outdoors. Please send sunscreen, rain gear, water, insect repellent, and other supplies as needed (swimsuit/towel, extra clothes, bag lunch). A small backpack to carry these items in is always helpful. When camping overnight, be sure to bring the proper gear.
-
Two Deep Leadership! One of the key fundamentals of Scouting is that there will always be at least two adults present with any group of scouts. When registering for a camp, it is important to note whether the camp will be providing all the adults of if the Pack/den needs to send adults along. TIGER SCOUTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES.
-
Buddy System! Scouts should always use the buddy system, no matter where they are going.
-
Proper Attire! Pay attention to what the proper attire will be when registering for a camp. Some camps provide a t-shirt that must be worn by all participants. Other times, the scout uniform is the proper attire.
-
Have Fun! While this is listed last, it is the most important! We want all scouts to have a positive experience in Scouting.
